FAQ
What everyone asks.
Does it work with free DaVinci Resolve?
Yes, with both free and Studio. In Studio the app connects by itself. In the free version, each time you open DaVinci you connect it from Workspace › Scripts › Bigger Subs, and that's it.
Does it work with Premiere, Final Cut or CapCut?
Not for now. Bigger Subs and everything we sell works only with DaVinci Resolve, both the free version and Studio.
Will the app keep getting updates?
Yes. We keep adding new styles, effects and sounds, and fixing whatever's needed. Updates are free forever and arrive inside the app.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Transcription and subtitles happen on your computer. You only need internet to activate your license and for the app to confirm it at least once every 2 days.
Can I edit the subtitles later?
Of course. Change the text in the app and the clip updates on your timeline in seconds. Don't like something? Undo it.
Can I use the sounds in client videos?
Yes. Every sound is royalty-free (public domain), so you can use them in commercial work.
What languages does it support?
It's tuned for Spanish. The interface comes in Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, German and Italian.
On how many computers can I use it?
On two, for example your Mac and your Windows PC. If you switch computers, deactivate it on one and activate it on the other. For teams there are packs for 5 computers ($179) and 10 ($299).
Do I need to know design or animation?
No. Pick one of the 82 styles and you're done. If you want, change the font, colors or animation with one click.
Does it work for horizontal videos?
Yes. Subtitles are made at your timeline's size: vertical for social media or horizontal for YouTube.
Can you make me a custom style?
Yes, for your brand or your client's, for an extra fee. Email [email protected] with the logo, colors and a sample video, and we'll send you a quote.
What happens when the trial ends?
The app pauses until you buy your license. Whatever you already placed in DaVinci stays in your project.
Do I get a warning when installing?
It's normal with new apps that don't come from a store: your computer warns you because it doesn't know it yet. Bigger Subs is safe. Here's how to open it:
Mac
If it says Apple could not verify “BiggerSubs.pkg”, close the warning. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down to Security and click “Open Anyway”. Enter your Mac password and continue the installation.
Windows
If you see “Windows protected your PC”, click “More info” and then “Run anyway”. If your browser says the file isn't commonly downloaded, choose “Keep”.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes, you get a 7-day guarantee: if the app has a problem that makes it unusable and we can't fix it, we refund your money in full. And before you pay, you get a full 2-day trial to test it with your own videos.
